A Gift from GOD
Chris and Wendy Shabay started the adoption process about 20 months ago and had a very strong heart and desire to find a child who needed them. Even though, they have been blessed with two wonderful little girls, they wanted to have a son. In the beginning, they had chosen a child from Sierra Leone in Africa, but because of so much corruption in their adoption system, the American Embassy refused to grant this little boy a Visa. Chris and Wendy spent more than two weeks in Sierra Leone last summer getting to know their new son and were heartbroken when they could not bring him home. Just before they left Africa, they were given the opportunity to apply for Isaac. Seven months later, Isaac was adopted and granted a Visa.
Sandra Shabay, Chris's Mother says, " I know that God played a big role in the selection of Isaac for our family because he is a perfect fit. He loves, hugs, laughs easily, plays well with his sisters and cousins, throws a ball to the moon and hits and kicks one even farther. He is pure joy, and we all love him so much."
Runnin' on Faith will be privileged to sing at the Celebration of the Adoption of Isaac at a private gathering in March 2006. Please pray for Isaac and his family as they start a wonderful journey that God has allowed them to take!
